Kalahari Sands Splash Oasis

Kalahari Sands Splash Oasis, located outside the resort’s Sands complex, opened the summer of 2024 to guests. The area includes a recreation pool, food and beverage building, restrooms, splash pad, and dry playground. The splash pad is surfaced with Life Floor in a triangle gradient design and leads onto the dry play surfacing with a no-trip transition between materials.

Splash Oasis showcases a bright color palette that reinforces the colorful Kalahari brand with matching wayfinding markers placed around the amenity. Waterplay features throughout the splash pad enrich the space with gold-colored accents and promote fun through simplified zoning.

Three zones are visually signaled with distinct surface colors for different play styles. The first zone features the Rain Cap shower umbrella placed on Bluebird colored tiles. The second zone, composed of Turquoise colored tiles, is where the main dump bucket splashes down every few minutes. And finally, the third zone, which is highlighted by Seafoam colored tiles, has smaller ground sprays which is beneficial for low-sensory play. Despite the compact footprint, Splash Oasis is a thoughtfully designed amenity by Waterplay and curated with universal play in mind.
