Island Waterpark at Showboat Resort in Atlantic City, NJ features over 13,000 sq ft of Life Floor in a triangle gradient pattern. Our partner, WhiteWater, thematically designed the space to ignite the imagination of guests as they play on and around the first AquaForms 12 in the world.
Reminiscent of the facility’s name, Life Floor creates island motifs across the waterpark with sand-colored tiles placed beneath the AquaForms 12 structure. Blue tones surround these islands and infer the appearance of water. Thematic designs like this are ideal examples of ways to subtly lead guests around structures and visually provide pathways to play and engage with the entire space.
Island Waterpark at Showboat Resort received a WWA Leading Edge Award in 2023.
“As a mom with clumsy kids, and trying to keep everyone safe, while enjoying myself in the waterpark, these soft floors were what made this park chart at the top of our list of favorite parks. The baby could sit next to the splash features with no worry of them bouncing their noggin off of concrete as you are distracted looking up at the other kids. Not to mention the lack of strain in your back and knees at the end of the day. We’ve been to hundreds of parks. This was our first with Life Floor throughout the entire park, and it honestly changed the experience.”
