Blue Surf Bay Waterpark is a stunning indoor and outdoor facility constructed as an expansion to the Blue Springs, Missouri Fieldhouse in 2024. From a year-round indoor space to seasonal outdoor offerings, this comprehensive aquatic center has something for everyone to enjoy!
Indoor
From our partners at Waterplay, “with Water Technology, Inc. (WTI) designers, we teamed up to integrate interactive water elements throughout Blue Surf Bay Waterpark, including a dynamic indoor splash pad, restorative sprays in the activity pool, custom features enhancing the lazy river experience, and various ground sprays across the facility. The indoor splash pad thoughtfully combines excitement and cognitive learning with highly inclusive features such as the Waterways Waterfall, Wobbly Cannons, towering Helices, and a thrilling Sky Soaker, designed to engage children in discovery and imaginative play. All features were selected to ensure the space is not only fun and safe but also aligns with the park’s branding and values, guaranteeing a memorable experience for every visitor.”
Indoor amenities across the 110,000 sq ft (10,219 sq m) space also include several pools alongside a climbing wall, waterfall, NinjaCross, sauna, and hot tub. The indoor splash pad features Life Floor surfacing to enhance safety and accessibility with a vibrant design that reflects the geometric triangle pattern found across the walls.
Outdoor
WTI comments, “Blue Surf Bay showcases remarkable innovations that blend traditional and bespoke aquatic attractions within its expansive 60,000 SF (5,574 sq m). At the heart of this stunning space is an exciting 600-foot (183-meter) river weaving together various amenities such as the waterslide complex, activity pool, water spray and play features, and the wave pool. Additional notable amenities include the Double Surf Air Simulator, a rooftop deck, cabanas, food and beverage options, and ample shaded seating and lounging spaces.”
The leisure pool’s zero-depth entry features a custom Life Floor surface complete with large Inlays and a color palette that complements the bright turquoise and orange tones found throughout the rest of the amenity. With peace of mind from our industry-leading slip-resistant and cushioned tiles, guests can fully focus on having fun.
We love highlighting the incredible work of our partners and this is a project that truly showcases the importance of assembling an expert team. From details like spray fixtures and surfacing to overall build and layout, we were honored to work alongside such an incredible crew.
